Green Mtn release bump up

10/22/2013

Hi all,

Today, in two steps of 50 cfs each, we increased releases from Green Mountain Dam to
the Lower Blue River. We are now releasing about 450 cfs.

The first change was made around 7 a.m. today, October 21. The second change,
bringing us to the full 450 cfs was made around 1 p.m.

The reason for the change is because flows in the Colorado River upstream of Grand
Junction, in the 15-Mile Reach critical for endangered fish, have dropped below
target levels for this time of year. The 100 cfs increase today will help meet the
target.

Meanwhile, as of midnight last night, the water elevation of the reservoir was about
7926 feet, or roughly 70% full.

As always, please let me know if you have any related questions.

Best,
Kara
