Denver Parks and Rec press release
Thanks to strong water levels at Sloan’s Lake, Denver Parks and Recreation is extending the current boating season until Oct. 28.
Originally scheduled to close on Oct. 1, the extended season is subject to continued strong water levels and will have some additional restrictions.

Starting Friday, Oct. 4, the lake will be open for boating Friday through Monday only from 9:00 a.m. until dusk.
All boating rules remain in effect, including permit requirements safety equipment requirements and safe operating regulations.
Existing 2013 boating permits will apply to the extended season. There will be no need to apply for a new permit unless you have not previously obtained one for 2013. All current rates for permits will remain in effect until the close of the season.
All boaters must operate their equipment and enjoy the lake at their own risk.

Park Rangers will be on hand regularly during the weekends only. An on-duty ranger can be contacted by calling 311.

Motor boat insurance is required and must be up to date. Please contact the Denver Parks and Recreation boating office with further questions at 303-458-4840.
