This afternoon around 5 p.m., we will raise the release from Ruedi Dam by about 25 cfs. This will put approximately 140 cfs in the river at the Ruedi Dam gauge.
The reason for the change is at the request of the Colorado River Recovery Program. They are taking the last of their water for endangered fish. Recovery Program water ends on October 15. We are anticipating that the 140 cfs will continue until that date, although conditions are subject to change.
