Hunters for Habitat Postponed
HUNTERS FOR HABITAT POSTPONED IN AN EFFORT TO COLLECT MORE ITEMS
Guided Fishing Trip among Various Prizes Awarded Day of the Event
Fort Collins, CO (August 18, 2008) – There is still time to donate your gently used hunting, camping and fishing gear to the Hunters for Habitat event, postponed until Saturday, September 13th in the empty storefront North of PetSmart at College and Harmony, to support the Women Build program of Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity.
Donations can be dropped off at the Habitat Home Supply Store, located at 4001 S. Taft Hill Road Mondays – Saturdays from 9am – 5:30 pm.
In an effort to collect more gear and provide a bigger selection of merchandise, volunteers are still looking for gently used items to sell that may encompass anything having to do with the outdoors. Donations already collected, include a white water raft, camp stoves, brand new two-person tent, life jackets, lanterns and camouflage jackets.
The chance to win a full day guided fly-fishing trip on the Big Horn River near Ft. Smith, Montana will be given away, among other prizes awarded from Odell’s Brewing Company. Participants will also enjoy a live broadcast from Big Country 97.9 the morning of the event.
Women Build volunteers are working hard to raise the necessary funds of $50,000 to begin construction this fall for a single mother and her children. The partner family has been selected and is working hard towards their 300 hours of sweat equity, just one requirement of the Habitat program. This will be the third Women Build home in Fort Collins.
For more information about the Women Build program, Hunters for Habitat, or how to donate your items, visit www.fortcollinshabitat.org or call (970) 488-2600 or (970) 488-2704.
Big Country 97.9 and Fox News Radio 600 KCOL are proud sponsors of the event. Fishexplorer.com is also a proud supporter of Hunters for Habitat.

About Women Build
The Women Build program has been established by Habitat for Humanity International to encourage the involvement of women in the construction of Habitat homes. Women crews have already build more than 800 Habitat for Humanity houses within the United States, and they are now building in more than a dozen other countries. Women Build projects provide and environment in which women can feel comfortable learning skills they might not otherwise have the opportunity to learn. Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity will begin construction on its 3rd Women Build home later this year.
