Help shape the future of Eldorado Canyon State Park
Colorado Parks and Wildlife
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is announcing two dates for public meetings to discuss the Visitor Use Management Plan for Eldorado Canyon State Park as well as an online public survey.

The two open houses will have the same agenda - two dates are being offered to maximize participation. Those dates are:

Monday, Sept. 9 | 6-8 p.m.
Unity of Boulder | 2855 Folsom St., Boulder, CO 80304

Tuesday, Sept. 27 | 6-8 p.m.
Avalon Ballroom | 6185 Arapahoe Rd., Boulder, CO 80303

To learn more about the project, please visit the Eldorado Canyon Visitor Use Management Plan website by clicking here.

The online survey will be posted to that website and available during September.

You only need to participate in one open house or the survey to provide your input.

Members of the public interested in receiving updates about the visitor use management planning process can sign up for that here.

Eldorado Canyon State Park has experienced increasing visitation and reaches maximum vehicle capacity much of the year, especially during summer weekends and holidays. Illegal parking on the surrounding roads and traffic congestion are impeding traffic flow for emergency services and nearby residents.

The Visitor Use Management Plan will focus on providing for and managing visitor use to protect resources and enhance visitor experiences. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
