SOUTH FORK— Hook, line and sinker, this year’s South Fork Youth Fishing Clinic was a great success on Saturday. Due to high water and swift runoff occurring in the San Juan Mountains, the clinic had to be moved at the last minute to a new location, but that did not stop families from coming out to Big Meadows Reservoir to enjoy a day of fishing.
The annual event is an area favorite and draws crowds from all over the Valley for a chance to spend a morning learning the ins and outs of fishing. Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) join forces with the South Fork Visitor Center for the event and offers a unique opportunity for children to learn how to properly fish in Colorado.
