Usually when you go fishing, you either wade or float on the water. But during this time of year, there is a brief change when you walk on the water. Frozen lakes demand a change from the warm weather and open water horizontal fishing methods to the cold weather vertical fishing methods.
You guessed it: ice fishing!
I'm often asked if I go ice fishing. Although many people are familiar with this absurdity, few fishermen seem to participate. That is until you get to the frozen lake on a warm, sunny day, and then you can hardly find a parking place.
