Choose flies and tactics for successful fall fishing

It's mid-autumn and there's still plenty of good fly fishing to be had if you go about it properly.
The Colorado fishing season never ends so you can actually fly fish year-round if you're so inclined.
No matter the season, fish still have to eat they just go about it differently. For one thing, their metabolic rate drops with the water temperature: the colder it gets the less they eat. And with few exceptions, most of the insect hatches of summer are just a memory, so you'll have to change tactics and fly patterns.
