FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Construction of two sets of steps at put-ins along the Cache la Poudre River will cause temporary closures. The Dead Deer Put-in, located just east of Mishawaka, will be closed starting April 24 and could remain closed through May 9. The Indian Meadows Put-in, located across from the Lower Dadd Gulch Trailhead, may be closed during the same timeframe. If work is completed sooner, they will reopen earlier.
The Canyon Lakes Ranger District appreciates your patience during this work to provide safer access and resource protection along the river. These steps will improve river access for boaters and fishing enthusiasts alike and were made possible from the collection of fees from river use through the recreation special use permit program.
For information on other locations for river access, call our visitor information center (open 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays, closed Wednesdays) at 970-295-6700 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
