Winter Boating Access Hours at Horsetooth Reservoir and Carter Lake

Just a reminder to boaters at Carter Lake and Horsetooth Reservoir, boating access hours for November, 2011 through March, 2012 are:

Planned Boating Access Hours:

Horsetooth Reservoir:
South Bay ramp: 8 a.m. 1 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, weather and ice dependent

Carter Lake:
North ramp: 8 a.m. 1 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, weather and ice dependent

Always check the website for most current hours and information because of ice and weather closures!

The Larimer County Department of Natural Resources, in order to comply with State of Colorado Aquatic Nuisance Species Regulations, is required to inspect every vessel entering Carter Lake and Horsetooth Reservoir. No boat launching is permitted outside of these hours however, boats already on the reservoirs may continue operation. ANS inspections will be done at open boat ramps.
