Endangered Species needs results in increased releases from Green Mountain Reservoir

Kara Lamb Public Information Officer Bureau of Reclamation Eastern Colorado Area Office (970) 962-4326 edits by David Coulson Colorado State Editor
Flows on the Colorado River continue to drop. That means, calls for water along the 15 Mile Reach of critical habitat for the endangered fish are up slightly.

As a result releases from Green Mountain to the Lower Blue have been increased.
Yesterday around 5 p.m. releases were bumped up by another 50 cfs. That means the Lower Blue is
currently around 650 cfs.

Update 9/28/11 3 p.m.

Green Mountain Dam to the Lower Blue is now at 700 cfs..
