Colorado Parks and Wildlife Press Release
CRAWFORD, CO. - Crawford State Park and Sweitzer Lake State Park close for trailered boat launching on Friday, Sept, 30 due to budget reductions. Anglers will still be able to fish from shore. Fishing for northern pike, crappie and catfish has been very good at Crawford State Park. Several areas of the parks are open for waterfowl hunting. The Clear Fork campground at Crawford is open year-around.

Hand launch watercraft will be welcome at both lakes through the fall.

Sweitzer is also a very popular waterfowl hunting lake. Hunters are only allowed to hunt on Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays during water fowl season. Catch and release fishing is very good at Sweitzer. Several large sun fish have been caught recently with fly rods. For additional information, please check "Conditions" section of the Crawford and Sweitzer websites at www.parks.state.co.
