BLM Take It Outside Program Needs Assistance

Grand Valley Anglers TU and FFF Chapter call for volunteer newsletter.
Katie Grablander at the BLM is asking for out help again this year. Volunteers will be teaching fly tying to the kids. This is easy as the only fly will be the San Juan worm. The BLM has increased the number of schools to include, Montrose, Olathe, and Delta. This will be a four day event, so they need your help. The number of volunteers for each day will be between 8 and 10. Please bring your lunch and drinks. Instead of the usual 180 kids we are expecting aproximately 600 this year. This is a fun and easy event, the kids are great!

This program has been a definite success with everybody. Grand Valley Anglers (GVA) has partnered with BLM make this event a success. However, others are needed to participate in this adventure. This is a good opportunity to work with GVA and meet some great folks and make some new fishing partners.

The event will occur on September 26, 27, 29, 30, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Cottonwood Campground on the Gunnison River. For more information and to volunteer contact:
