Growing up in Southampton, Long Island, New York I was surrounded by water. The east end of LI has lots of salt water fishing opportunities in the ocean, jetty, bays, as well as fresh water fishing in ponds. Even though I didn't have anyone in my family who was very interested in fishing I had to. I fished often from the age of 10 to 17.
In 1991 I moved to Frisco to be a ski bum for a few months. The rest was history. I fell in love with Colorado and never left. I didn't get back into fishing until a few years ago, but I quickly realized what I had been missing. Now I live and breath fishing. Luckily for me my young son loves just as much as I do and wouldn't doubt that he has well over 300 days of fishing in by the age of 5. We are mostly pond fisherman but hope to get a boat next year to expand our potential and skills.
