Located near Independence Pass, a short hike from 82, lake is stocked with a variety of trout. Access the lake via Lost Man Loop Trail (#1996) starting at the Upper Lost Man Trailhead, with parking on the north side of the road. The trail enters Hunter-Fryingpan Wilderness but Lost Man Reservoir is not within its boundaries. This lake is in the Aspen-Sopris Ranger District of the White River Nat... from Aspen, Colorado drive 18 ½ miles east on Highway 82 to the parking lot at the last switchback before the top of Independence Pass. The trailhead is on the left (north) side of the road.
