Some resources state that this lake is within the Uncompahgre National Forest but it appears it is not managed that way. However, it is stocked by the CPW and appears to have public access.... Log in for additional details...

Getting there:

From alltelluride.com: To reach Trout Lake CO, head west from Telluride. Then go south on CO-145 at the gas station. The lake is about 10 miles on the left. There are private residences scattered around the lake, so make sure to avoid private property.
