Located in Uncompahgre National Forest in the Mountain Division District (Ouray Ranger District), Cimarron Area. It is a quick jaunt from parking at the trailhead of Clear Lake Trail, which leads further a mile or so to Clear Lake. Stocked with a variety of trout.... Log infor additional details...
Getting there:
USFS: Travel east on Hwy 50 for approximately 20 miles to the intersection with County Road 858, Big Cimarron Road. County Road 858 becomes Forest Service Road #858 at the forest boundary. Follow CR 858 for approximately 15 miles to the forest boundary, then continue on FSR #858 for approximately 2.5 miles to the intersection with FSR #838, Rowdy Lake Road. Turn left onto FSR #838 and continue for approximately 1 mile to Clear Lake Trailhead parking.
