Located in the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness in San Isabel National Forest. Accessible by either the Pine Creek Trail or Missouri Gulch Trail and Pine Creek Trail. Either way it's a long hike and well over 3500 ft in elevation gain.
For the Pine Creek Trail:
From Leadville: Drive 2 miles south on Highway 24. Turn west on Forest Road 123. Stay there for around 2 miles until you hit the trailhead. It is a gravel road and high clearance vehicles are recommended. Once you hit the trailhead, you will need to pay a parking fee as the trailhead is on private property.
