US-34 to Old Fall River Rd to Lawn Lake Trailhead. Lawn Lake Trail is steadily sloping, but starts out with a steep incline to an overlook on the Roaring River. From here you can see the result of the twenty nine million gallon Lawn Lake Dam breakage on July 15, 1982. The scouring of the river channel and the spreading of the 42 acre alluvial fan shows the immense power of flowing water.
