Getting there:
From Estes Park, take CO-7 south to Longs Peak Rd and then Longs Peak Trailhead. East Longs Peak Trail is a dogged schlep uphill, gaining 2250 feet over 3.5 miles. Then take Chasm Lake Trail to Peacock Pool. Once you reach Peacock Pool, you'll need to scramble down a few hundred feet of loose boulders. It can be fun to scramble down, but be careful.
