Montgomery Reservoir, located just off of CO Highway 9 between Breckenridge and Fairplay, is a water storage facility for the city of Colorado Springs. It is easily reached from Highway 9 with a standard street vehicle.

Getting there:
From Beckenridge, take Highway 9 south over Hoosier Pass. About 1 mile south of the Pass, turn right onto County Road 4 and follow it about 1 mile to the reservoir. NOTE: The turnoff onto CR4 is not well marked. If you miss the turn, continue south on Highway 9 about 4 miles. Turn right onto another spur of CR 4, and travel about 3.5 miles to the reservoir.
From Fairplay, take Highway 9 north approximately 8 miles and turn left onto County Road 4. Follow this road 3.5 miles to the reservoir.
