Getting there:

Follow Google Maps directions to the Moffat Tunnel East Portal Trailhead parking area. From Boulder, CO take Hwy 119 all the way past Nederland as it turns to the south. At Rollinsville, take E Portal Rd all the way to the parking lot where the road dead ends. From there it is around a 4.5 mile hike in along the South Boulder Creek trail with an elevation gain of around 2,000 feet.
