Huston Lake Park is a small shallow lake in the Athmar Park section of Denver. It's relative proximity to the Platte River and I-25 make it a very easy diversion location for anglers to stop and wet a line. It is roughly 13 surface acres with a recorded depth of 8 feet at it's deepest. Shore access is ample, but limited on the west side and the south east side due to large walls of cat tails. ... Getting there:
From I-25, take the Alameda exit and head west. Turn south on Pecos and drive for .75 miles until you hit Exposition Ave. Go west on Exposition until you reach Vallejo Dr.. Turn south, the lake is 2 blocks up on the right.
**These directions will get you to the far east side of the lake. There are multiple one-way streets surrounding the lake, so you will need to take a couple detours to reach the south or the north side of the lake.
