Thomas Reservoir is good for fishing and other recreaction. There are a few large open fields and a picnic area with porta-potties that are generally well maintained and clean. The area is reasonably kid-friendly and has plentiful waterfowl.

Getting there:
From the North or south, find your way to Arapahoe Road Via I-25 from the East (AKA Hwy 7) or Via Hw-287 on the west side.
Proceed on Arapahoe Road Eastward from 287 or Westward from I 25 to the intersection of 119th and go Northbound on this, passing the reservoir on your right before a right turn on Austin Ave. After turning onto Austin and going perhaps 100 yards, a second right turn will put you in the parking lot for the reservoir at it's NW end.
