Accessed via the McDonough Reservoir Day Use Area. This is a steep-banked lake with a trail that covers some of the southern shoreline from the day use area.... Log infor additional details...
Getting there:
From Gunnison, take US Highway 50 east 7 miles. Turn south on Colorado Highway 114. Go approximately 21 miles. Turn right (heading south) on BLM Road 3083. Proceed approximately 3.5 miles and turn right on to BLM Road 3084, following signs for Old Agency. Proceed approximately 9 miles to McDonough Reservoir on the right.
