This lake is adjacent to the Alexander Lake Lodge, formerly a hotel built in the 1880's, and site of the Grand Mesa Feud. The name Hotel Twin Lake comes from the location adjacent to the hotel, as well as the fact that at low water levels, the lake appears as two lakes.

Getting there:
From Cedaredge, travel north on Highway 65 16.0 miles and turn right onto Forest Road 121 just past the Forest Service Visitor Center. Go 1.5 miles to Hotel Twin Lake on the left side of the road.
From Mesa, travel south approximately 22.4 miles to FS121, located on the left just past Cobbett Lake, and follow instructions above to the lake
