San Luis Lake is a sandy, mostly featureless-bottom lake that used to harbor a lot of carp, some trout, and an attempt at largemouth that wasn't very successful. Drained a few years ago, officials are expecting that very few if any carp remain, and by filling the lake via creek instead of canal wil... Log infor additional details...

Getting there:
Take Highway 160 west from Walsenburg for 60 miles. Go north on Highway 150 for 13.5 miles. Turn left on Six Mile Lane and drive straight for 8 miles and then drive north 1/8 mile to park entrance.
