Flatiron has fishing from shore for trout. No boats, including belly boats, are allowed on the lake. It is well stocked with trout throughout the year. Getting there:
From Loveland take US 34 through the city of Loveland. Watch for the 'Carter Lake' road sign just past mile marker #85. Turn left (south) onto County Road 29 and continue for 2 miles. Turn right (west) onto County Road 18E and continue another 2 1/2 miles.
