North Sterling wiper

Yesterday we went to North Sterling and fished all day. After looking around a bit and taking some pics for the site we found several tailing carp and decided to flyfish to them. Then after catching two in about as many casts, we decided to do what we came to do and find wiper. Which we did near the inlet, but the first fish 17" was the largest of four. We never did find any others. Birds were out diving around the main basin and we did find some schools of baitfish below them but didn't find any wiper. Sat out a typical afternoon storm with a tornado spotted just to the south. Many fish were jumping all over the lake in what appeared to be surface feeding, but could have been some spawning activity... although the water was very warm. They were 8-16" long, some were yellowish, many acting like bass hitting surface flies. Didn't see any insects coming off though. Couldn't figure them out.
