CPW website update. Survey summaries are gone.

Post By: Troutbisquits      Posted: 8/29/2024 10:52:51 AM     Points: 2729
So CPW has updated their website. The downside is the fishery survey summaries are now gone. I am wondering if swigs, ewert, or anyone on the forum here has a way to provide access to these files still? Or... it could be a good FxR plus benefit. If we could somehow work CPW to get access to those again. Just a thought.

Thanks for posting this I would also like to know if the survey data will still be viewable somewhere.

Also gone is the master angler info that displayed the names, dates, locations, and fish species of the master angler award applicants/recipients. The weight and length record holders are still displayed but not every single master angler applicant like before. I'm not sad that it's gone and it was always full of errors, just something I noticed along with the other changes.

Both of those sets of data are available on Fish Explorer still and can be found on the lake pages. Plus members have full access to all the lakes listed here.

Hey thanks Colorado Ray! I did not realize that we had that on here. Hopefully we can still keep it updated. Don't know how I missed that. There's a survey for the lake I skipper haha. If it was a snake it would have bit me

You are welcome. I don't think most of the people that use this site are aware of how much info and data is available here. And I think the CPW website will probably make the fishery surveys available again once they complete their new website.

Buddy of mine noticed last Friday and emailed them about it. They replied on Monday, the data will be added back to the new site soon.
