There will be a full ban on alcohol 7 days a week also no loud music these bans include all watercraft and any area around Aurora Reservoir. A decision on Holiday closing is still being discussed

I for one welcome the changes.Music is fine, but not so fine when you are out on the water enjoying the quiet.
The drinking does not bother me very much, but it must have become a problem on shore (and lord knows the Rangers got enough going on) I never fish into the afternoon, but most days when I leave the lake . . .there's a long line of cars waiting to get in and the hot days are yet to come.

Classic example of ďthe actions of a few, ruin it for the rest of us.Ē Itís not surprising.

No more after work fishing adventures.

Agree. Ticket and maybe incarcerate the no good doers and leave us to fish and enjoy the facility that we paid for. Not everyone can get to the lake early in the morning.

I have been trying to get information on Brooke Bell, the director of parks and recreation for Aurora and can't find much about her.

Colorado is starting to remind me of the third grade. One kid would talk and the whole class got kept after school.

Most bizarre of all, a local news agency implies that there might be a link to the recent shooting incident at Cherry Creek State Park.
And, if not influenced by that foolishness, then what DID drive the sudden decision that no alcohol may be consumed at Aurora Res?

Probably to drive large groups of people partying, drinking and playing there loud mariachi music out. Cherry Creek is so busy on weekends they can't get in there. So load up the grill in the pick up and head to Aurora. The alcohol issue will be ignored by these people. Feel sorry for Terry to half to put up with these folks.

Good to know on the week nights. Rarely hear mariachi music there. Usually itís weird techno or hip hop. Thatís just my observations tho. I donít think that article equating the two situations is very good. Coincidence does not equal causation.
