I love it when the drag screams! Check it out when you have time.

Was it a channel or blue cat, I'd say channel due to the curved anal fin. What do you think?

Awesome. Not much better in life than that sound of a perfectly tuned drag getting smoked.

Thanks all! I'm fairly positive it's a channel cat. You should see the amount of giant shad swimming along the shore! Definitely good cat bait.

A beauty of a fish there Big D. Some of my biggest catfish I've caught have come out of Boyd. A personal best at 38 inches and a couple of 36's. There are some big ones in there for sure.

Thats crazy how monster fish can live under the radar in high pressure lakes---even small lakes. You gotta know what you're doing. Great job on that beast. You need to be in shape to land those brutes.

Thanks everyone! Every year Boyd surprises me. I love fishing it for the white bass and crappie runs but every once in a while she'll surprise you with a nice largie or kitty! I heard they stocked it with tigers a few years back. Make sure you're working out hard to fish the weekends!

The workout stuff added a nice touch. Something different.
