I have not seen a report for Antero or the Mile for a while. Anyone been recently. Most interested in ice thickness and fish numbers. Thanks and tight lines.

Over 18' of ice, with very heavy snow on top. Difficult to drag sled.

As to fish, there are millions in there, waiting for me and you to get 'em...I sure didn't get any last Sunday.

Bill, you instigated that program late last summer and fall. Put your witch doctor mask away, will ya?

All the stocking on the north shore has the big uns stuffed full. That place will skunk you many times but you better have your drag set light and your knots fresh because there is the chance for a real beast.. So much food in that water--------except during "certain" times........

Idlerick, Yes Bill and I danced around the pontoons singing incantations and burning incense to throw the fish off. I believe we effectively ruined the ice bite... the fish have to see our pontoon bottoms to break the spell. I2

Had a chance to hit the SkunkMile yesterday am for a few hours. The ice is not as thick as it was a couple weeks ago--probably 15-16 inches with some standing water on top near the rocks which refroze overnight. Absolute bluebird kind of day. Tons of little stockers which puts the bite off usually. Could hardly keep them off my line. Did manage to bag one cuttbow 23.75 inches to make smoked trout dip. Beadhead bugger with no bait on it did the trick. Those dinks wont leave you alone if you use any scent or bait. I stopped using the mealworm after about a half hour. I finally gave that BBQ place in beautiful downtown Lake George a try. We got a pound of brisket and a pound of burnt ends. Dude is from KC and this place is the real deal. Everything was killer including the sauce. A bit pricy but thats to be expected for real KC BBQ in such a small town. Guarantee we will be going there A LOT from now on!!!
