Scratcher boat another option for getting out on the ice

I've never seen anything like this before.
Have any of you guys?

I can see how it would be safer on sketchy ice, but how would it perform in slush?
If you could switch out the scratcher for a prop, could you go open water at first ice and also ice fish ?
Would you need to pass invasive species inspection to use on a boat?
So many questions.

That's pretty cool. Wouldn't work for me though. I'd be tired and cold before I got done dragging junk down to the lake.

My aunt used a Jon boat and a motor attached to a big circular saw blade. That was in another state. Very few lakes here allow motorised vehicles
