Lake: Bellaire Lake

Bellaire lake red feathers?

Post By: GoNe_FiShIn_11      Posted: 12/26/2023 7:28:20 PM     Points: 10791
I was thinking about making the trip to Bellaire lake? Just curious if it will be worth the hike in? From what I find on research itís just a put and take lake like most up in Red feather. How long is the hike in? I will probably have my son with me. Anyone know how much snow is up there? Hoping the fishing will be pretty good without the lack of pressure at the moment.

Thoughts and info appreciated

Fished Dowdy 12/21 on about 4-5" not much snow to speak of. I doubt if there is anymore snow since then especially with the recent wind. Not sure your son's age, but I've taken my 7/8yr old in no problem. About a 3/4mile hike, but it's up hill half way in and out. If there isn't snow and you're planning on sledding stuff in you'll probably wreck your sled...

Usually non-stop action there for small stockers. It's a great place to takea kid and the hike in is reatively easy. As with all the lakes up there beware that the wind can,and probably will, blow.

Thank you guys for the replies. My son is 6. We did already fish dowdy a couple of weeks ago. Apparently he liked it enough to go back so I did something right. Haha.
