Yes, get the boat or kayak. That reservoir typically doesn't freeze till late December, and this year it has been warmer than normal.

I know for a fact that as of two days ago the lake was not frozen over. Some small coves were covered on ice but not the main lake. Hard to believe the lake will be fishable in the next couple weeks particularly in light of recent temperatures

Drove by Granby yesterday. Some of the south end of the lake has capped over, but the vast majority of the lake is still open. Didnít see anyone fishing the frozen coves, and I certainly wouldnít try it myself right now.

Went past Granby this afternoon on my way back to Denver . There is more skim ice along the west and north shore than there was four days ago, but at LOT of the lake is still open water. A good cold snap could quickly change things, but I canít remember there being this much open water this late into December in the past thirty years. )I could be wrong as my memory isnít what it was )

I agree it is strange, it should have been froze by now.

The Fishing with Bernie guys did an ice update yesterday. The Rainbow Bay area has about five inches of ice. The Stillwater end is still open water. Sounded like there were people out fishing the south end of the lake.
