Where is a good area to fish for carp from the shore at Chatfield?

So itís been a crazy year at chatfield as you probably already know, but I have caught them a bunch of places. South marina cove and roxborough cove have been slower than usual but still produce. Iíve caught them in the trees near kingfisher. And several spots on both the east and west shoreline. Iíve been focusing on the east shore and itís been real hit or miss. Seems like they are moving around more than ever. Maybe someone else has a sone better intel, but from what I can tell no one spot is dynamite right now. Also you have a good chance lots of places on the lake. They do seem to like flats adjacent to deep water, but Iíve also caught them like 5 feet off shore. Doesnít seem to be much rhyme or reason to it this year. Iíve been skunked a bunch of times. Iíve also had a couple of 10 fish days. Skunked and caught 10 in the same spot.

Recommend Kingfisher or midway on the south shore.

I went Friday morning 9:30 to 11:30. Not really sure what I was doing or what to use for carp. I know there's walley on the west side in the trees. I tried a few leeches and olive bead-head wooly bugger to try for an 'eye. Put on a grasshopper and chubby chernoble and tossed it in and around the trees, hoping for a carp. No splashing while I did that. Guessing I scared off whatever was in the area.
