Fly Fish Quadruple HOOKUP

Post By: Bennyb SST      Posted: 6/27/2023 2:06:49 PM     Points: 503
A FIRST FOR EVERYTHING - We got out for a day of flyfishing and ended up getting a Quadruple hookup! The day started slow but ended strong! We ended up feeling like it may be a skunk for the first 3 hours until wham, we put 14 in the net the last hour before the weather moved in. Oh and I got stung by a wasp and beheaded it on video. If your interested here’s the episode [log in for link]

There are some mutant hornets up there in addition to the yellow jackets. Frankenstingers!!!

Interesting post and video…but where’s the lake update?
(Inquiring mind wants to know!)

As a non subscriber, it's kinda silly to give updates and not have access to all but a few lakes. If you watch the video it gives you many details.

…maybe he SHOULD subscribe, and post updates for the “privilege” of posting his videos. Just sayin!

You don’t have to watch the video. But if you do… maybe you will learn something.

Gotta love that first picture. It reminds me of the inane football players all running to the end zone for a silly sketch in front of the camera after a fumble or interception. :-)

Whether or not I watch the video and “learn something” is irrelevant!
I just don’t think it’s right to use FX as a personal platform to promote a video from another site…but that’s just my opinion.

Take it up with the moderators I’m tired of seeing constant complaints. Or better yet go fishing.

The reasons for the closures are irrelevant! We have a pandemic on our hands! Remember that one? HAHAHA. Some envious dudes out there. Sheeesh! I went to Soinney a week ago. Heres the report. The lake is wet. There are big fish in there. Finnicky too. It gets really windy sometimes. It is filling very quickly. Boats are allowed. Cant fish off the dam anymore--that sucks.

Trailerman,
They’re not “constant complaints” but rather factual observations.
Like you, I am allowed my opinions, and the right to post them!

I'm on board with you Skiman. These constant video posts of theirs are pretty annoying. There is nothing to learn in these videos other than they know how to catch fish. They make it a point to never show the flies, lures, or techniques they are using in their videos. I guess they just like to show off, but certainly don't want to teach anybody else how to do it.

Thanks Spikey, that’s all I’ve been trying to say!

Contrast Benny’s posts to i2fly’s callibeatis tread. i2fly gives photos, recipes, materials, techniques, everything. i2fly gives far more than he takes, goes out of his way to answer questions, and is a valuable member. As Spikey said, Benny goes out of his way to hide all helpful information. What motivates someone so successful to hide every possible bit of help from the same people he is bragging to? It leaves a bad taste. As best I can tell, his only goal on this site appears to be to boost his UT views. Until he shares something useful, I won’t help his UT view counts.
