Spent three days and two nights in North Park. Fishing was very poor. No success at Lake John or Big Creek Lake. Weather was mixed with occasional rain showers. However, I did finally catch/release a healthy 14" Cutbow on a small Adams dry fly offering to avoid getting "skunked".
…….and who was it saying North Park is much better than South, really too many variables in fishing to predict which would be better on any given day. Bill
The mosquitoes only got bad when the sun came out and the winds calmed. They aren't strong flyers so a riffling breeze keeps them at bay and betters your chances of fooling a trout on the surface. Just my opinions.

Haven't heard anything official but wouldn't surprise me if the Delaneys had some winter kill. I made one late March trip to north and the ice was incredibly thick. Didn't even get a touch on my offerings.

So right Anteroman as far as variables, although it never hurts to have a little inside intel from someone in the know. #ThefishingDJ. The lakes are as full as I've seen them in the past 20+ years, and the rivers are the same, but fishing well if you put in the time.
