SD trip photo dump

Just got back from South Dakota, and had a proper fishing trip with my old man this time. Last few years it’s just been a day or day and a half shot, but stayed a couple nights up in Eden, SD and had almost a full 3 days worth of fishing up there.
Landed probably close to 200 fish within that time, probably missed at least 50 more. Not a single walleye tho, which seemed odd, tho we were targeting bass (as usual). Biggest largemouth was 19, and the biggest smallie was just over 18.

Last set- a crappie hitting a floating rap, one of our 4 doubles of the trip, and me forgetting to put the plug in the boat. Thankfully the bilge pump worked, but only for a bout an hour so we still had to head back to the launch and drain it.

I was up there last week too…. very, very windy! My trip was the opposite of yours….few bass and lots of nice walleye. Looks like you were on Roy.

Man that sounds like a blast of a trip. Nothing better then spending it with your old man.

I fish Texas for those things once or twice a year. Never crossed my mind to take a bass trip to SD. I might need to rethink my life. You and bharper are about to force me into therapy.

Gone Fishing- no doubt!
Walleye guy- yes EXTREMELY windy. And yep, that crappie and a couple of the bass pictures were from Roy.
We also did well on Clear, Pickerel, South Buffalo, and Enemy Swim.

Barnacles- let me know, I'll put you on to the bass, and I can recommend a great guide service, too.

We mostly fished Lynn, Mid Lynn and Opitz. We usually crappie fish at Clear and Pickeral and go for bass at Roy but the wind kept us hunkered down.

Ya, we kinda had to pick our spots with the wind. When we got onto Roy on Friday morning at 6 the wind wasn't AS horrible, so we were able to get on and get to where we needed to go and got into a bunch of fish that were moving shallow. Loading off of Roy was a little interesting in our 16' Lund.
