Fish: Blue Catfish

CO to South Carolina

Post By: BlueCat 83      Posted: 3/23/2023 5:08:48 PM     Points: 10
Born and raised in Denver I moved to South Carolina 4 years ago and have encountered the absolute best catfishing a man could dream of my top 3 PBs
are 60 71 and 75lbs with numerous 40-50lb fish. I know it's not Colorado I just figured I'd share with my fellow Colorado whisker chasers

I've been down here almost 2 years now, and let me tell you. Those are just the tip of the iceberg in catfish. They get absolutely MASSIVE down here. I've seen 50+ pounds regularly come out of the river 5 miles from me. There are guys that have them completely dialed in, and have very specific rigs/tactics to get them.

I am NOT one of them! Biggest I've managed is about 25 pounds. I did however pull a double out once. When they're eating, you almost can't keep them off the hooks!

I've noticed they'll bite year round, if you know what to throw and when...I just haven't mastered it yet.

Congrats on a couple of hogs man, those are sure nice to see.
