from the 27th

This is a bit late but some friends and I fished the northeast corner of Tarryall on Monday 2/27/23 from 7 am to 11:30 am. The weather was perfect. Sunny skies with morning lows at around 11 degrees. We saw lots of wildlife coming in down county road 77. A large heard of elk and a herd of 20 or so tagged Rocky Bighorn Sheep. That was a sight to see.

The bite was tough for us and the ice was even tougher. The ice had to be 3 feet thick or more in many places we drilled with weeds coming up through the holes. The reservoir was mostly snow packed with a few spots of cloudy, and very slippery ice mixed in. I estimated that there was only maybe 3-4 feet of water between the ice and the bottom of the reservoir were we were located. We did manage to land a good sized rainbow trout and a smaller rainbow trout though
