Ice conditions are variable at Jackson Lake. There is open water in the inlet, along the south shore, and around the boat ramp. With incoming rain and continued warm daytime temperatures, ice conditions will remain unstable.
Remember that no ice is considered safe. If you do plan on venturing out on to any ice, bring safety equipment and keep it accessible. Wear a life jacket, and keep ice awls and a whistle on yourself. It does no good if the ice breaks beneath you, and your safety gear sinks to the bottom of the lake.
