11 Mile Parking Near Campsites Closed AGAIN

Post By: teagan999      Posted: 12/1/2022 5:24:36 PM     Points: 13
Once again the parking is closed off in multiple areas around 11 Mile. It's sad when an ice-skating rink is their priority. I've attempted to discuss this with Darcy multiple times without any resolution or commonsense on their behalf.

Bottom line is they are going to STOP the Ice Fishermen from parking in the Camp Site Parking Spots. What's the saying "Cut off your nose to spite your face" So now the campers can't use those spots and the dozens of non-camping parking spots aren't available to fishermen.

Not a fan either but it clears out the crowds for those willing to walk…

The West end(Cross Creek) of 11 Mile has around 7" of nice solid clear ice. It's mostly open around Goose and to the East.

I was out there yesterday and measured it around 9 inches at cross creek.

Yep, started a thread last year. Was told it was because they were short staffed. Again, I am 70 yrs old, paid FULL price for a pass & license, I should have FULL access to the lake. I like to fish the big rock at the end of Witchers. I am not going to walk 3 - 400 yrds to access that area. Sad state of affairs.
