Fishing With the Girls

Post By: 1fishwilly      Posted: 11/17/2022 8:40:58 PM     Points: 109
My buddy Jimmy has three teenage daughters that he has done a great job with of teaching them the basics of fishing and providing them with oportunities to experience the joy of being in the outdoors. All three are top level athletes, so they know the value of perseverance... a critical aspect of successful fishing. So when the day started out slow... they didn't complain, they didn't quit, they didn't pull out their phones and check out... they just kept on casting and moving up the river. Eventually the bite turned on and they were rewarded with some very nice fish. And we had a great time watching them out fish us.

That's awesome, I have three young girls myself, and I hope that I can keep them interested in fishing like this.

Sounds like a great time. Nothing like getting the next generation out for the experience. Itís not always about catching fish.

Great job being the teacher as always, Lance. They look to be having a great time, that river is the perfect spot, hope to get my oldest 2 grandkids there in 23. Great planning to get all those girls in a spot close to the bathrooms. ( but how dare you fish off my rock, lol.)

Lol, thought I was seeing things, but sure 'nuff, Green River above Little Hole. Phew, I'm not going crazy! *wink*

This is one of few places where taking out the phone to "check out" isn't really much of an option, as there is essentially no cell service down there! Besides, the fishing there is always good, you just need to figure out what they want.

Thanks for sharing the pictures!

Smile... Thanks guys. These are the same "angels" that will knock a fastball out of the park on any givin day, or rough you up a little bit on the soccer field.
They wouldn't rub it in to us old guys, but they sure let each other know who caught the biggest and the most fish that day...

The Green is a wonderful place to take youngsters to. It is also a good place for us experienced guys to go if we've been on a losing streak. It will give you your confidence back and you will have a blast doing it.

A lot of beauty and wildlife dwell there as well.
