My buddy Jimmy has three teenage daughters that he has done a great job with of teaching them the basics of fishing and providing them with oportunities to experience the joy of being in the outdoors. All three are top level athletes, so they know the value of perseverance... a critical aspect of successful fishing. So when the day started out slow... they didn't complain, they didn't quit, they didn't pull out their phones and check out... they just kept on casting and moving up the river. Eventually the bite turned on and they were rewarded with some very nice fish. And we had a great time watching them out fish us.
