How have people been doing at Chatfield for walleye? Iíve been struggling to catch those pesky fish. Iíve been hearing reports at the boat launch of guys catching 40+ fish but Iím struggling to get even a few. What has worked the best for everyone?

Are you fishing from boat or shore?
I have not been out much this fall yet but normally this time of year, using Jigging Raps or Blade Baits is best, or trolling crank baits.
Throwring jerk baits near shore can be good as well close to dark.
The shad hatch was lite this year, so I have also heard reports that some are still having success using jigs with half a crawler as well, normaly once the shad hatch bait fishing does not work well here.
Havenít had any 40 fish days but all my luck has been on jigs and crawlers or trolling slow death rigs. They seem to be pretty spread out but related to structure. Think humps and road beds and they seem to be any where from 12-25 feet down. Blades and jigging raps will be effective too but the good old night crawler has been getting done for me even from shore.
Doing well from shore using swim baits and jerk baits, best luck at light change early morning or evenings. They have been pretty shallow head lamps will spooke them quick. Change bait presentation often they have been picky!

@Gwill I am fishing from a boat.
Thanks for the All the inputs fellas. Seems blade baits, jigging raps, swim baits, jerk baits, and crawlers on slow death hooks seems to be the consensus. Sounds like I need to expand my tackle box a little moreÖ looks like a trip to bass pro is in order. That place always seems to take my money!

Went last night at dark and did ok. One keeper and pile of undersized. Jerk bait was the ticket from shore. Purple or perch pattern. From the boat I would cast toward shore and work back. They definitely had the pre front feed bag on.
They are cruising the bank at dark. I went for an hour before dark last night, Wednesday, and caught one legal and one short while fishing for bass. If I had jerkbaits I know I would have caught more. West shore.
