I was fishing for trout when I caught this Northern Pike. I only use 4 pound test so I was really surprised that is didn't snap or cut off my line. God is good!! Psalm 37:4

Nice pike, sometimes you get lucky with hook location. My dad once caught a 36" pike at Williams Fork Reservoir on a salmon egg using a #14 gold hook. It was hooked in the corner of the eye, not near any teeth or gill plates.

I use gamakatsu hooks size 10. This fish was 32 inches. I still can't believe I caught it.

What were you using? power bait or crawlers?? I think the State record pike from Stagecoach was caught on power bait.

Nice catch!!!! If you go to the general store at stagecoach you can see the state record pike was caught at stagecoach with a purple fly from the article on the wall. Not caught with power bait. Saw this while staying there in 2020.
