Hey never been up to the reservoir but have wanted to For a while now my buddy and myself and his kid are gonna go up here soon just wondering what the water levels and stuff are if the shore access is good or if it's all mud if the inlet is on. Any information you wanna throw that's cool I know how to fish so I'm not asking for that but if you have a tip on a hot Bait I'm open ears hahaha
We like all fish heard there's lots of drum and cats and carp so that sounds fun

Prewitt is an irrigation holding lake and has fill it up over the winter/early spring, drain it out to the farmers later in the summer. It's too late for it be easy to fish and too early for them to be filling it.
Sorry,I got nothing to help you with.

The lake has not reached dead pool yet, but it very close. The water is VERY low. I would suggest going some were else. North Sterling is low as well, but still has fishable water. Good luck

Most of the lake out east here are low and sad to say the least. Like stated Prewitt doesn’t have much water left. If you’re up for a walk what’s left maybe fishable. I haven’t tried for a bit. What fish are left are usually big. Maybe worth it to try and launch a kayak. You never know.

Sterling has probably the most water left. Fish are starting to died out there with the low water too.

Went camping out there about 5 weeks ago. You'll have to walk about 100yds or more from any of the parking sites down to the water. Flies were bad and bit us up pretty good. The water is really low. We waded out into the water a couple of hundred yards - really far from shore and the water wasn't more than 4.5' deep. One catfish caught. I'd suggest early morning kayak fishing before the wind kicks up or late night catfishing from shore
