Lake: Saint Marys Lake

St Mary's Lake walk

Hi everyone! Looking at some places to try to get early ice this year. How far is the walk from parking to Saint Mary's Lake? I want to take my dad up so I need to plan for the distance and carrying gear.

Its about a half mile from the parking lot to the lake. Its all up hill and can be icy in spots. The wind up there can be brutal. I have seen more than one shelter get destroyed. Good luck.

It’s also straight up a hill. Haven’t seen anything but about 6” tigers and brookies come out of there. Good place to scratch the itch tho.
