Ran down to pueblo res this morning, started off at the west fishing loop. Kids caught some smaller bass and blue gill. I was really surprised at how low the lake is. Got to see some of the structures that I have lost baits on.
Glad the kids got a few fish. Dog days of summer and low water are hurting the fishing but the shad hatch is really doing a number. 1/4 to 1/2 shad by the billions so everything in the lake is gorging on them. I’m sure some folks have found some great lures that we all have lost over the past few years. Hopefully we will get some water to fill the Lake back up.
